A Renfrewshire/East Renfrewshire swim team has made a splash at a competition, with nearly all members achieving personal bests.
The REN96 team saw 28 out of 29 swimmers competing at the South Ayrshire swimming team's 'Sue McClure' event record at least one personal best (PB) time.
The team's impressive performance resulted in them winning five gold medals, four silver medals, and seven bronze medals.
Additionally, the swimmers collectively earned 12 'Too Fast' times throughout the day, with those swimmers receiving wristbands as a reward.
The success was seen across the entire club as nine-year-old Poppy, ten-year-olds Roan and Summer, and 18-year-old Nuur all contributed to the team's achievements, with Nuur managing to secure three PBs.
The team's behaviour, attitude, and overall performance were commended, reflecting the hard work of the coaching team, volunteers, and parents.
The swimmers expressed their gratitude to coaches Adam and Alan, who coached throughout the day, and to team managers Lesley, Angela, and Martin for their support during the competition.
With around 260 members, REN96 is Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire's largest swimming club.
Although based at the On-X Linwood, the club conducts about 50 training sessions weekly across several local pools, including facilities in Johnstone, Erskine, Barrhead, Neilston, and Eastwood.
REN96 works in collaboration with local councils and Scottish Swimming to enhance the swimming programmes offered to its members.
The club aims to help swimmers realise their 'full potential' while providing a safe and welcoming community.
