Arthurlie gave their survival bid a huge boost on Saturday by securing a 3-0 victory over title challengers St Cadoc’s at Dunterlie Park.
Max Kerr got on the end of Tam McGauchey’s cross to head the Barrhead team in front after 10 minutes.
Their lead was doubled five minutes before the interval as Mark Docherty sent a deft lob over Max Currie and into the St Cadoc's net.
And the points were sealed in the early stages of the second half when Conor Bradley drove forward from defence, skipped past several challenges and rifled in a strike from 25 yards that flew into the top corner.
The result means Colin Reilly’s team is just two points away from climbing out of the Premier Division relegation zone, with games in hand over many of the teams above them.
Arthurlie make the short trip to the southside of Glasgow this Saturday for a clash with Pollok.
Kick-off at Newlandsfield is at 2pm.
