Neilston co-manager Chris Cameron admits it is sad his side may well have played their last game in Junior football.
The remainder of the current campaign was cancelled by the SJFA on Friday and clubs are set to move to a new West of Scotland Football League at the beginning of next season.
Cameron said: “I don’t think there’s any way they could have got the remainder of the season completed, particularly at our level.
“Players, managers and committee members have all been asking the question and it’s good to know now that the season has been put to bed and we’ll be looking to build on this season.
“I’ve been involved in the Junior set-up for 17 years and I love that level of football so it is a bit sad that that’s going to be gone.”
