THREE Scottish eateries have been named winners at the 2024 Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.

The awards ceremony was held in London on Sunday, October 6, and attended by some of the country's most well-known restaurateurs and celebrities.

Discussing the prestigious event, chief red carpet guest and film star Patsy Kensit said she was "delighted" to be part of the celebrations, adding that the "talent and passion of the chefs" is "truly inspiring."

She went on to say that it was an "honour" to "celebrate such exceptional cuisine" with the "wonderful" community.

Three Scottish eateries in multiple categories were recognised at the 2024 Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.

Asian Fusion Restaurant of the Year:

Yakitori House in East Kilbride was named the winner in the Asian Fusion Restaurant of the Year category.

The location, which serves a combination of Chinese and Japanese cuisine, is highly reviewed online with visitors giving the restaurant a 4.5/5 out of 43 reviews on Tripadvisor.

One patron said the eatery went "above and beyond" when they visited, adding that the "food was amazing."

Scotland Restaurant of the Year:

Monsoona Healthy Indian Cuisine in Aberdeen was named Asian Restaurant of the Year, beating out competition from across the country.

The spot prides itself on its healthy ingredients and ability to maintain its "authentic taste".

Scotland Takeaway of the Year:

Snatching the Takeaway of the Year category was the Gurkha Kitchen in Fraserburgh.

The takeaway is well-known locally for its fusion of Nepalese and Indian food which promises to bring customers "the best of both worlds".

The restaurant states that it employs "talented chefs who care about their food" to prepare each meal before delivery.
