A kind eight-year-old has donated her locks to a charity which makes real wigs for kids who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as alopecia.
Isabella Briggs from Neilston had her 30-inch long hair chopped at @No.56 Beauty and Hair in the village’s Main Street this month.
The Neilston Primary pupil had 17 inches cut off which has now been sent to the Little Princess Trust.
She has also raised hundreds of pounds for the charity and counting.
Proud dad Malcolm Briggs told the Barrhead News: “Isabella is very grateful for the very generous donations made by Neilston residents as well as family and friends.
“This has enabled her to raise £614 for the charity which will go most of the way to covering the £700 cost of making a hair wig.
“Both her mum April and I would like to say a big thank you for the fantastic support for this great cause.
“Her hair has started growing again, so who knows she might be doing the same again in the future.”
