A local councillor has been recognised as a Lifetime Legend for her 25 years of service.
Councillor Betty Cunningham was honoured at the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) and CCLA annual Cllr Awards at Edinburgh's City Chambers.
The ceremony is the sole national awards event celebrating the work of local councillors across Scotland.
The judging panel acknowledged Ms Cunningham's dedication to her constituents since her 1999 election, highlighting her initiatives to combat loneliness and create opportunities for young people.
She serves the Barrhead, Liboside and Uplawmoor ward.
Other winners at the event included Councillor Katie Pragnell from East Renfrewshire Council who won Young Councillor of the Year.
Winners were selected from more than 100 nominations.
Jonathan Carr-West, chief executive of the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU), said: "Councillors across Scotland do incredible work day in and day out to support their communities, make local areas better places to live, and ensure the voices of residents are heard across council decision making.
"At LGIU, we are determined to celebrate these remarkable achievements, which genuinely improve residents’ lives and the well-being of our communities.
"I want to congratulate all of our very worthy Cllr Awards winners. Their dedication and service represent the very best of local government."
Kelly Watson, head of public sector relationships at CCLA, said: “Local councillors are at the heart of communities and nights like this are an opportunity to showcase the contributions and real world impact made by those unsung heroes striving for a better world."
