A much-loved cafe in Clarkston has closed down after 24 years.
Eat Deli, which is located on Busby Road in the town, announced the incredibly gutting news on social media recently.
In the post, the eatery said 'rising costs have become insane and insurmountable and have crippled the business'.
They also revealed this year has been extremely 'challenging in many ways' and has resulted in no other option but to shut the cafe.

Known for serving up brunch and lunch items, coffee, cakes, and alcohol, the East Renfrewshire cafe has been an institution in Clarkston since 2000.
Confirming its closure, bosses of the venue said it was the 'end of an era' and an 'incredibly sad day'.
The owners also said they will miss their customers, staff, and suppliers, and the 'buzz' of running the venue each day.
However, they said the cafe has been listed for sale and they hope whoever buys it will reopen it with a 'new vision'.

In the Instagram post, Eat Deli said: "Hey everyone, it's the end of an era and an incredibly sad day for us.
"We've loved being a part of the Southside cafe scene.
"We've loved getting to know lots of regular customers, seeing their kids grow up over the years, and being a valued part of the community.
"It's been incredibly special.
"Rising costs have become insane and insurmountable, and have crippled the business.
"It's been an incredibly challenging year in many ways and has resulted in no option but closing the doors.
"We will miss you all.
"We will miss our wonderful staff and suppliers who we are so grateful to.
"We will miss the buzz of running the place every day.
"It's been 24 years, that's a long time, and we are so grateful we lasted for that long!
"Businesses are not Cash Cows and can't just be milked & milked until they run dry.
"Those in power need to realise this. Another hike in businesses' national insurance and minimum wage rises puts so many others at risk.
"Support independent businesses, rather than make it financially impossible please those in Govt!
"On a positive note, the deli is on the market, and we hope a buyer will reopen with a new vision, money in the bank, and breathe new life into what is a much-loved Southside institution!
"Watch this space.
"For now, so much love and thanks to you guys for all your support over the years, for our wonderful staff David, April, Holly, Niamh, Beth, Kristen, & Callum.
"We will miss you all so much. I'm crying so much writing this & it has been such an emotional time lately.
"Hope whoever takes it over does it with love and makes a good job of it!"
Following the news of the venue's closure, punters took to social media to express their sadness about it.
One said: "Very sad. We have lost another independent wee place."
A second chimed: "So sad. No decent cafes left."
Another added: "Times are tough for local businesses. Sad they have gone."
A fourth cried: "Oh no, that's so sad. Loved EAT."
