A spooky event is set to take over the town as it makes its return this weekend.
The Big Barrhead Hallowe’en Parade will be taking place this Saturday (October 26).
The parade will start at 5pm and travel along Cross Arthurlie Street, up Carlibar Road and down to Dovecothall roundabout before making its way along Main Street to Asda, where it is expected to arrive at around 6.15pm.
A spokesperson for organisers All About Barrhead, the local business improvement district, said: "Since 2017, the parade has been the highlight of our Hallowe’en celebrations, and it’s always amazing to see so many of you join in the fun.
"This year, we’re excited to share that the parade will once again feature a fire performer walking with us through the streets. A truly fiery addition to our spooktacular event."
All About Barrhead will also be hosting a fireworks display as part of the celebrations, which will take place at approximately 6.30pm and last around 15 minutes.
The fun, however, will start much earlier in the day with a “creepy carnival” at Tesco car park featuring funfair rides from 12pm to 6pm.
There will also be a circus skills workshop from 1.30pm to 3pm which will provide an opportunity for people of all ages to learn some tricks.
A circus performer will also entertain the crowds with tricks between 1.30pm and 2:30pm and again from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
The event will feature a costume competition with four cash prizes of £50 up for grabs for the best dressed at the parade.
The winners will be announced just before the fireworks finale.
