Two East Renfrewshire councillors have been shortlisted for national awards.
Councillor Betty Cunningham and Councillor Katie Pragnell are in the running for the 2024 Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) Scotland and CCLA annual Cllr Awards.
They have been recognised for their outstanding commitment to their constituents.
Councillor Cunningham is up for the Lifetime Legend title, whilst Councillor Pragnell has been nominated for the Young Councillor of the Year award.
The competition was tough, with over 350 nominations across five categories.
Councillor Cunningham has been serving East Renfrewshire for 25 years.
She has spearheaded numerous projects to improve people’s lives including projects to combat loneliness and opportunities for young people.
Councillor Pragnell has shown a strong commitment to ensuring that no young person is left behind in education.
Jonathan Carr-West, chief executive of the LGUI Scotland, said: "The judging panel was blown away by the number of extremely high-quality nominations this year, with councillors up and down the country going the extra mile for residents.
"The shortlist for the 2024 Cllr Awards represents some of the most devoted elected representatives in Scotland.
"With councils working under enormous pressure, these awards are a hugely important way to champion what councillors achieve for the places we live.
"Congratulations to all the councillors nominated and shortlisted and I look forward to announcing the winners in November.”
Other categories include community champion and leader of the year.
Winners will be unveiled on November 14, at the City Chambers in Edinburgh.
The Cllr Awards judging panel consists of senior councillors and key stakeholders from across the sector.
These are the only national awards dedicated to honouring and showcasing the work of individual councillors.
This year's awards are made possible thanks to the support of founding partners CCLA.
