Swimming pools to shut for ten weeks for 'essential maintenance': Here's when
The swimming pools at Barrhead Foundry are to shut for ten weeks while essential maintenance is carried out.
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure (ERCL) announced the news on their website ahead of the closure which is set to begin on Monday, October 21.
The pools previously shut over the festive period last year while work was carried out.
A spokesperson for ERCL said: "We expect this maintenance to take up to ten weeks to complete.
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but this maintenance is essential, and we hope you understand that the safety of our customers must be our priority.
"Our swimming pools at Neilston Leisure Centre and Eastwood Park Leisure are open as normal."
