Eastwood Park Theatre is set to host more than 60 performances of Jack and the Beanstalk.

The show, produced by Spillers Pantomimes, will run from November 27 to December 31.

Scottish actor Ross Forbes-MacKenzie, who hails from Fife, will take on the role of Jack.

He said: "I can't wait to take to the stage of Eastwood Park Theatre this festive season in the iconic role of Jack.

"I love panto and what it represents—families coming together and having a chuckle, no matter what age you are."

Familiar faces from previous years will also return to the theatre for this year's production.

Aidan MacColl, who played Lumiere in last year's production of Beauty and the Beast, will take on the role of Silly Billy.

Aidan said: "I had a great time playing Lumiere last year and I'm so happy to be back.

"This year, I'm playing the comic, Silly Billy.

"As the name suggests, he's very silly, lots of fun and always cracking jokes and getting himself into trouble.

"I think Eastwood Park Theatre is very special and I'm very excited to see audiences join in the fun."

The cast features some well-known performers (Image: Mark F Gibson) Jamie Lemetti, who played the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz and Belle's father Maurice in Beauty and the Beast, will return to Eastwood Park Theatre for a third year as he takes on the role of the King.

Scottish actress, Eva Beattie, will perform the role of the Princess.

Megan Beth-Pattie will take on the role of Fairy Fair.

Megan, from Ayrshire, performed in theatre shows at Eastwood Park Theatre as part of youth theatre groups, from Fame and Babes in the Wood to previous pantos.

She said: "I'm over the moon to return to Eastwood Park Theatre. I love panto and am so excited to play my first fairy role.

"I love the atmosphere and the kids coming along to watch the show—seeing their eyes light up and completely believe in the magic of panto is wonderful.

"It's something for the whole family to enjoy and get involved in, from little ones to grandparents.

"They all join in during the show; that's what makes it really special to us as performers."

Dame Trott will be played by Scottish actor, singer, writer, and musical director, Christopher McDougall.

Angus Bhattacharya, who trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, will take on the role of Fleshcreep.

The cast will be joined on stage by a team of professional dancers, as well as talented junior dance performers, who impressed panto bosses at auditions hosted at the theatre.
