A charity football match organised by a group of pals in memory of their best friend has been hailed "a massive success".

Stephen Gallagher, Dominic Collins, Paul Doherty and Finn Docherty hosted the game at Brig O’Lea Stadium in Neilston this month.

In the days following the game, the total raised was already sitting at around £4,600.

(Image: Supplied) The group felt the match would be a fitting tribute to their kind-hearted pal, who was football daft and a Celtic season ticket holder.

(Image: Supplied) The two teams were named after Jonathan’s two favourite pubs, Malones in Glasgow and the Brig Inn in Barrhead.
