A major Barrhead event that was postponed due to safety concerns has been rescheduled.
As we reported earlier this month, the Big Bounce was originally due to take place at Centenary Park on Saturday, August 1, but was called off due to the weather.
The day of inflatable fun will now take place indoors at the Foundry on Thursday, October 17 during the October school break.
A spokesperson for organisers All About Barrhead said: “Exciting News.
“We’re thrilled to announce that the Big Bounce event, which had to be cancelled earlier this month due to high winds, has now been rescheduled.
“The event will run from 11am to 4pm, so bring your friends and family along for an awesome day of bouncing and laughter.
“We can’t wait to see you there.”
“The event’s original date would have seen it held on the final day of the town's first ever Play Week, which provided a series of fun activities for children and families.
Announcing the news at the time, AAB said: "We are incredibly disappointed to announce that our Big Bounce event, scheduled for August 10 at Centenary Park, will be postponed due to safety concerns.
"The Met Office is forecasting gusts of up to 41 mph, and for us, safety is always our top priority.
"Our threshold for wind safety is 25 mph, so we simply can't risk it."
