Drivers are facing a diversion due to a leak within the former St Thomas' Primary School building.

A road closure is in place on Broadlie Road in Neilston while Scottish Water work to address the problem.

The water supplier is installing a hydrant to isolate and manage the issue.

An alert on their website said: “We would like to let customers and road users know that there is a road closure in place on Broadlie Road, Neilston, Glasgow, G78 3ET. Diversion signs on Manse Road.

“This is due to a hydrant install to stop an internal leak within St Thomas' Primary School.

“Repairs are estimated to be complete by Friday, August 30.

“We would reassure all impacted customers that we will work as quickly and safely as possible to minimise any inconvenience or disruption these works may cause.”
