Parking fines in East Renfrewshire are set to rise from next month.
East Renfrewshire Council has revealed the cost of Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) for parking offences in the area will increase from £60 to £100.
The change in cost will begin on Wednesday, September 4.
Announcing the £40 rise, the local authority says if the fine is paid within 14 days it will be reduced to £50.

A spokesperson for the council said: "From Wednesday, September 4, our Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will increase from £60 to £100, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.
"Motorists receive a PCN when they fail to comply with parking or waiting and loading regulations."
