THE two remaining units at Barrhead Retail Park will soon be taken over by national brands, it has been revealed.

One will be transformed into a hot food restaurant and takeaway with the other becoming a non-dispensing chemist which will provide a 24/7 prescription collection facility.

The brand names have yet to be revealed. 

LSPIM Dev Co, acting on behalf of private equity investors, announced this morning that they have agreed on terms for the two units.

Andy Richardson, group development director at LSPIM Dev Co, said: “Securing these final tenants is a significant milestone for Barrhead Retail Park and a testament to its strong appeal to both national and local brands.

“With a full roster of diverse and complementary retailers, we are confident that the park will continue to thrive as a vibrant shopping destination and a valuable asset to the community.”

The retail park, which was completed last year, is home to a diverse mix which includes Lidl, B&M, Starbucks, Burger King, The Salvation Army, Indigo Sun, Bayne’s, Card Factory and the first Popeyes in Scotland.

Now fully occupied, property agent Sheridan Keane will be inviting proposals to acquire the fully let investment later this year.
