East Renfrewshire Council has reminded residents that the speed limit on a busy road is to be permanently reduced this week.
Part of Ayr Road will be cut from 40mph to 30mph to improve safety after a “high number” of crashes resulting in injuries were recorded over five years.
A post on the council’s social media page said: “Reminder. From this Thursday, August 1 the speed limit on the A77, Ayr Road between Eastwood Toll and Pilmuir Road, will be permanently reduced to 30mph.”
