A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.

Police say they were made aware of a crash between a motor and a 13-year-old girl on Nitshill Road in Glasgow.

The force was alerted to the incident shortly after 6.10pm on Tuesday, July 23.

999 crews raced to the scene where the teenager was then taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers said Nitshill Road was shut at its junction with Loganswell Road and Inverse Avenue during the crash.

 

 

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a collision between a car and a 13-year-old female pedestrian on Nitshill Road in Glasgow shortly after 6.10pm on Tuesday, July 23.

"The girl has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment."
