A spokesperson for AAB, the Barrhead Improvement District, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce All About Barrhead's first ever Play Week.
“This week coincides with Playday the national day for play in the UK celebrated on the first Wednesday in August every year.
“The week will end on Saturday, August 10 with the return of the Big Bounce - our day of totally free access to multiple inflatables and giant outdoor games in Centenary Park.
“This part of the Play Week will be sponsored by the government's UKSPF fund.”
The Big Bounce will also see the return of giant games which featured last year including Connect 4, basketball hoops, Jenga, skittles and more.
As if that wasn't enough there will also be free face painting available throughout the day.

These will take place on Tuesday, August 6 for those in P1 to P7 and on Wednesday, August 7 for those in S1 to S6.
The timing of the sessions will vary depending on the age group.
Also on the Wednesday, free two-hour sessions will be taking place at Planet Play on Cross Arthurlie Street.
