A new dementia friendly group launched in East Renfrewshire this week.
Mearns Kirk Helping Hands has started a meet up called Wonderful Wednesday which takes place weekly from 10.30am to 12pm in the Mearns Kirk Halls on Mearns Road in Newton Mearns.
The group is designed for people living with dementia, who are looking to participate in quieter activities such as jigsaws and crafts.
Those coming along will also be able to enjoy some good conversation, a cup of tea and biscuits.
A spokesperson said: “We're delighted to say that today we launched our very first ‘Wonderful Wednesday’ group this morning and we enjoyed getting to know our new group members, chatting and enjoying a cuppa.
“We have a few spaces left in this group, so if you or someone you know might benefit from coming along, please see the info about the group and how to book a space.
“Hope to see you for a 'Wonderful Wednesday'.”
If you or a family member might like to attend, you can get in touch by emailing hello@mkhelpinghands.co.uk or by phoning 07858552767 to book a place.
