Trains on a busy Glasgow Central route are to be replaced by buses this weekend.
ScotRail has said buses will replace trains between Glasgow Central and Barrhead/Kilmarnock on Saturday, June 29 - with trains only running on the line between Kilmarnock and Dumfries/Carlisle.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, June 30, the travel firm has said no trains will run between Glasgow Central and Dumfries.
Instead, services will be replaced by buses, however, trains will run on the route between Dumfries and Carlisle.

Announcing the news, ScotRail says the replacement bus services are in place to allow engineering works to take place.
Customers are being urged to check their journey ahead if they are travelling on the line.

A spokesperson for ScotRail said: "If you're travelling between Glasgow Central, Kilmarnock or Carlisle at the weekend, please check your journey before heading out as engineering works are taking place this Saturday and Sunday."
