Drivers face a lengthy diversion thanks to an overnight road closure next month.
Ayr Road in Newton Mearns will shut from its junction with Barrhead Road north-eastbound for approximately 50 metres or thereby from Sunday, June 23 at 10pm to Monday, June 24 at 6am.
The closure will be in place to allow for the safe operation of crane lifting works on or near the road.
All vehicles will be restricted except those associated with the works and emergency vehicles attending an incident.
Alternative routes: Ayr Road – Hunter Drive -Westacres Road – Barrhead Road – Stewarton Road – Crookfur Road – Ayr Road and vice versa, and Barrhead Road – Stewarton Road – Crookfur Road – Ayr Road and vice versa.
