A much-loved bridal shop is closing down after many years serving customers in East Renfrewshire.

Christie Couture on Eaglesham Road in Clarkston is due to shut at the end of this month.

A post announcing the news on Facebook, the store's owner said: "Christie Couture will be finally closing its doors at the end of May.

"It has been a wonderful journey but I have moved on to pastures new.

"As such all dresses are up for grabs for fantastic prices."

Indeed, ahead of the closure, the business will be hosting a closing down sale with Bridalwear, prom dresses, occasionwear available to buy from £50.

"If you wish to come and look, please drop in any Sunday between 11am and 4pm," the post added.

The news prompted responses from customers sad to see the shop go.

One said: "Good luck in your new chapter, I still love looking back at my dress."

Another added: "Sorry to hear you are closing down.

"You were wonderful helping my daughter. Her dress was beautiful. All the best for future."
