Barrhead Youth Football Club's 2009 team have been busy showcasing their talent at the Blackpool Cup.
The side made their mark in the tournament and ultimately secured the runner-up position after booking a well-deserved spot in the final.
Brian Keay, head coach, told the Barrhead News: "Making it to the final is a testament to their hard work and talent."
The journey began recently as the Barrhead Gunners headed to Blackpool for a thrilling weekend of football.
With impressive performances right from the start, they clinched the top spot in their group after a stellar opening day.
Day two witnessed the Gunners' determination as they advanced through the quarter-finals and then the semi-finals, setting up a showdown with Irish team Arklow Town for the trophy.
In a tightly contested final, however, their opponents emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, leaving the Barrhead Gunners with the runner-up title.
"Despite the final result, myself and the coaching team are immensely proud of the effort and dedication shown by our players throughout the tournament," added Brian.
