East Renfrewshire Council have confirmed the start dates for the first roads and pavements to be resurfaced this financial year.
Back in March, the local authority announced that it had drawn up proposals for a major roadworks programme using an additional investment of £3.5million to improve the conditions of local residential roads.
Among some of the first to be resurfaced are some streets in Barrhead including Broom Crescent (estimated start date May 13) and Cuillin Way (estimated start date June 10).
In Neilston, the resurfacing of Fereneze Road Rural (Waterworks to Gateside Road) is estimated to begin on May 13 and the resurfacing of part of Double Hedges Road is estimated to begin on May 20.
