All About Barrhead Improvement District (BID) has handed over a cheque for £1,500 to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC).
The money was in large part raised through the incredible generosity displayed at the All About Barrhead Awards night organised by the BID and held on March 7.
Attendees at the event came together to donate £1,185 to the cause, which helps to provide the best possible care for young patients at Scotland's largest children's hospital.
Due to the success of the night, the BID was then able to add to the amount raised and bring it up to its even more impressive total.
Jenny Dunlop, manager of the BID, said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to support the GCHC once again, having worked with them on the highly successful Oor Wullie Bucket Trail in 2019.
“This latest contribution reinforces that the BID is dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of those who need it, both locally and in the broader Glasgow area.”
Kirsten Watson, CEO at GCHC, added: “We are delighted to receive the continued support from All About Barrhead.
“The money raised at the Barrhead Awards will go a long way to help our babies, children, and young people who visit the Royal Hospital for Children each day.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed at the awards, and congratulations to all of the award winners.”
