An East Renfrewshire restaurant has been named as a finalist in the Scottish Curry Awards.
The Malletsheugh Bar and Restaurant on Ayr Road in Newton Mearns announced the news on their social media page today (Thursday, March 21).
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Monday, April 15 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Glasgow.
The post said: “We are FINALISTs at the Scottish Curry Awards on the 15th of April.
“Wish us luck as we hope to take home the award for the best new restaurant.”
The family-run restaurant officially opened on August 27 last year, serving a 'unique' blend of Scottish and Indian cuisine in a "showstopping double menu."
With its opening, owners the Birks hoped to bring something different to Newton Mearns with their fusion of cuisines and a menu featuring dishes from curries rich in flavour and spice to steak pie and fish and chips.
