Police have provided an update after a cyclist was left fighting for his life after being hit by a bus.
The incident happened on the A77 at the junction with Ayr Road in Newton Mearns on Wednesday, March 6, shortly after 12pm.
We previously reported that mercy crews raced to the scene with traffic cops sealing off the road to investigate the horror crash.
Following it, a 63-year-old man, who was the cyclist, was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Now, officers have revealed an investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
Sergeant Paul Mellis previously said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to come forward.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage to contact us.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1499 of March 6, 2024."
