A MOTORIST had his car seized in Barrhead at the weekend after allegedly getting behind the wheel without valid insurance.
Police stopped the 24-year-old driver as he headed along the town's Glasgow Road in a Seat Leon on Saturday morning.
He now faces court action.
A police spokesperson said: "About 11.30am on Saturday, March 2, officers stopped a Seat Leon on Glasgow Road, Barrhead, as checks showed the car had no insurance.
"This was confirmed and the 24-year-old man driving will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"His vehicle was seized at the scene."
