Residents are being given the opportunity to help shape early plans for five projects that will “make it easier to walk, wheel and cycle for everyday journeys.”
The plans call for a connected network of active travel routes across Giffnock, Netherlee, Clarkston, and Newton Mearns.
A series of drop in events are being held to help East Renfrewshire Council learn more about what would help residents make short trips on foot or by bike.
These are being held at Giffnock Library on Tuesday, March 5 from 10am to 7pm; at Mearns Library on Wednesday, March 6 from 10am to 5pm; and at Clarkston Library on Thursday, March 7 from 10am to 5pm.
A spokesperson for the council said: “At these events, you'll be able to see ideas on how streets in East Renfrewshire could be designed differently.
“Members of the project team will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions, and information about every project will be available at each event.”
