A 'lot' of police activity was spotted near Silverburn at the weekend.
Officers from Glasgow's road policing division unit were called to a report of a drink driver in the area near the Pollok shopping centre.
It was alleged that the driver had left a 'violent domestic' incident in the Renfrewshire area.
They then engaged in a vehicle chase around the Southside of the city.
Cops followed a car to the outskirts of Silverburn where they claim the driver attempted to flee on foot.
A 35-year-old man was then arrested, charged and held in custody in connection with a 'variety' of offences.
