A DRIVER has been arrested for allegedly being under the influence of drugs following a car smash in Barrhead.
Officers say the crash took place on Boylestone Road in the town on Saturday, January 13.
Following it, one of the drivers was reportedly found under the influence of drugs.
The 36-year-old was arrested at the scene.
Police also say they recovered drugs at the incident as well.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "On Saturday, January 13, officers attended a road traffic collision on Boylestone Road Barrhead.
"One of the drivers, a 36-year-old man was found to be under the influence of drugs. He was arrested at the scene.
"Drugs were also recovered.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
