A BOY has been charged after allegedly being caught with a weapon following a disturbance in Barrhead.
Officers were alerted to an incident on Friday, December 15, on Darnley Road in the town.
Following that, one youth was searched by police at the scene and was reportedly found in possession of a weapon.
He was arrested and charged.
On top of that, cops say extra patrols were undertaken in the area to deter further incidents.
Meanwhile, it comes after we previously reported earlier today that another youth was charged after allegedly being caught with a knife following a "struggle" with cops in the town.
The incident took place on Cross Arthurlie Street on Saturday, December 16.
