A MAN has been charged after allegedly being caught with drugs in Barrhead.
It comes after officers stopped an e-scooter rider who was "flying" through the town on Wednesday, November 22.
During the stop, cops say they smelt an "herbal scent" from the man, however, said he was "neither a chef nor a gardener".
Following this, suspected drugs were discovered, and his E-scooter was seized.
The man was then charged.
A spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Police said: "On Tuesday, November 22, officers stopped an E-scooter rider “flying” through Barrhead.
"There was a herbal scent from the rider, who was neither a chef nor a gardener. Suspected drugs were recovered, and an E-scooter was seized.
"Male charged with joint offences. Report to PF."
