A salon group with premises in East Renfrewshire has been named a cut above the rest at a prestigious ceremony in London.
Roar Hair and Beauty, which has a branch in Giffnock’s Fenwick Road, won six gongs at the 2023 Salon Awards, a contest recognising the crème de la crème of the industry at a local level.
Open to hair salons and individuals in all areas of the UK and Northern Ireland, finalists are shortlisted in regions before a winner in each category is chosen.
Brian Leo McCallum, owner of Roar, which also has salons in Muirend and Strathbungo, told the Barrhead News: “To win six awards in this year’s Salon Awards is an incredible achievement for our salon and team.
“It’s really allowed us to end the year on a high and celebrate the success of our salons despite the many challenges businesses are facing in the current climate.”
The lavish event, attended by those shortlisted, was held at Leonardo Royal London St Paul’s Hotel and saw the winners announced following a three-course meal.
Roar picked up the award for Best Colour Salon, Most Sustainable Salon, Future Talent, Best New Salon (Muirend), Best Salon Team and Best Bridal Stylist (ROAR designer stylist, Nicole Spence).
“We can’t wait to share the news with our clients and highlight that we always strive to be the very best for our clients,” added the salon group’s proud owner.
