Towns and villages across East Renfrewshire fell silent in honour of fallen heroes as events took place to mark Remembrance Sunday.
Veterans, councillors, local dignitaries and residents gathered at services in Barrhead, Neilston and Newton Mearns to pay their respects.
The first event was at the war memorial beside Mearns Bowling Club, in Ayr Road, while members of the Neilston War Memorial Association invited local people to take part in the village's act of remembrance.
In Barrhead, a parade mustered outside the United Services Club before marching off and arriving at Cowan Park for a service.
East Renfrewshire's Provost Mary Montague said: "It is always incredibly moving to be part of the Remembrance Sunday events held across East Renfrewshire as we took time to reflect on the sacrifices that so many have made during past conflicts.
"I was honoured to join a number of services on Sunday to remember those who have given their lives or who have been injured whilst serving for the country on our behalf and think of the words of the epitaph engraved on the Memorial of the 2nd British Division in the Kohima cemetery in North-East India.
"It reads 'When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today'."
