A JOBS fair is set to be held in Barrhead this week.
East Renfrewshire Council will be holding the event in the town's Foundry on Wednesday, November 1, from 2pm until 5pm.
As part of it, Work EastRen, the council's employability service, is working in partnership with the DWP for the fair.
Employers signed up so far cover a variety of industries including retail, child care, home care, and hospitality.
As well as employers, Work EastRen will be on hand to offer advice and support on applying for jobs, tips for interviews, help with CVs, training opportunities, and more.
Councillor Danny Devlin, Convener for Environment and Housing, said: “If you’re looking for work or your next role, this event will be a fantastic opportunity to not only speak with local employers but also get some tips from Work EastRen staff on how to secure your job.
"We’ve got a great range of employers coming along, so I’d encourage anyone who can, to head along to the Foundry.”
Confirmed employers attending the fair include East Renfrewshire Council Facilities (Janitorial and Cleaning), HSCP, McDonald's, JD Sports, Caledonia Health Care, McQueen's Dairies, McGill's Buses, NHS Recruitment, Police Scotland, Timpson, and Mearns Afterschool Care.
