East Renfrewshire Council has issued an update on progress on Neilston’s new shared learning campus.

Once complete, the facility will bring Neilston Primary School, Madras Family Centre and St Thomas' Primary School together on one site.

Work got underway on the project in June 2022, with the campus initially scheduled to open in August of this year.

This week the local authority, however, assured residents that work is “progressing well” and that “the high-quality new amenities are really starting to take shape.”

"Staff and pupils are expected to move into their new schools and family centre in the coming months and we'll be in touch with parents in due course as soon as we are able to confirm the exact timescale," added a spokesperson for East Renfrewshire Council.
