St Thomas' Primary is appealing to anyone with a past or current connection to the school to get in touch as they look to mark the end of an era.
The Neilston school will soon be leaving their current building and moving into a shared learning campus along with Neilston Primary and Madras Family Centre.
In anticipation of this, head teacher Marie Kane is asking people via a questionnaire to share their memories and photographs.
She is also asking if they have any particular skills, such as baking, music or children's entertainment which could be used to support a celebration of the time in the current building.
In the plea posted on St Thomas the Apostle Parish’s Facebook page, Ms Kane said: “As you will be aware, this session St Thomas’ will move from our current building on Broadlie Road to the new shared learning campus on High Street.
“From my short time here, I have been touched by the strong sense of community and I am keen for anyone who has, or has had, a connection to the school to be involved in marking this special occasion.
“To this end, I would be grateful if you could take some time to complete this short questionnaire.
“Not all questions will be relevant so a response to each question is not required.
“I look forward to celebrating this moment in history with you all and greatly appreciate any contribution you are able to make.
“Please share this link with anyone you feel may wish to be involved.”
Construction on the new campus got underway in June 2022 and Miss Kane and Neilston head teacher Gerard Curley visited the site last month to see how things were taking shape both inside and out.
The new facility is being built on ground within the site of the current Neilston Primary, allowing the existing school to continue running during construction.
Once the new school and nursery facility is completed, the current Neilston Primary and Madras Family Centre will be demolished to allow an all-weather football pitch and multi-use games area to be created.
