A SEARCH has been launched to help trace the owners of a missing ginger cat found in Barrhead.
It comes after Cats Protection took the male feline into their care after being found straying around the local streets for several months.
The animal is understood to be not microchipped and unneutered.
The charity also says paper collars were tried, however, no one has claimed him.
A spokesperson said: "We currently have this handsome boy in our care after being found straying in the Barrhead area for many months.
"He is unneutered and sadly not microchipped!
"Paper collars were tried and sadly no one has claimed him.
"Please note photographic evidence is needed to claim a cat."
