A BARRHEAD football club has come under “attack” after a group of vandals lit a “malicious” fire on their pitch.
It comes after Barrhead Youth Football Club reported that they were victims of a blaze which was set on their grounds.
Taking to social media, the club said: “Sorry to post again, but again we have been the victim of a malicious fire on our pitch.

“It is getting harder and harder for our volunteers to continue providing sport for the kids in Barrhead and surrounding areas.
“We came under attack from some people for previously not letting kids play on the pitch when the pitch wasn’t getting used, however, this is the evidence of why.
“From now on, unfortunately, anyone who does not have a booking will not be allowed to access the playing surface.”
