FARMFOODS have revealed they are hoping to open their new store in Barrhead by 2024.
It comes after we previously reported the retailer was given the green light by council bosses to open a new shop in the town.
The planning application, which was originally validated by the local authority in August, was to open the supermarket in the former Lidl on Kelburn Street.
It also said external alterations would be made to the store, including the installation of air conditioning and chiller units.
Now, the Barrhead News understands Farmfoods are hoping to open its new shop in the town by the end of the year.
