A MAJOR retailer is set to shut its store in Barrhead that has been open for more than 20 years as they reveal their new shop across the town.
Lidl announced its shop on Kelburn Street, which has been serving the community for 22 years, will close its doors when its new store opens in the town's retail park.
We previously reported the supermarket chain revealed its new venue would officially open on Thursday, September 28.
The old store will close next week to create a "seamless" transition for customers while it will retain all current staff members.
Meanwhile, the fresh new shop will be open from 8am until 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm on Sundays.
It is just one of the many businesses to call the new shopping area home.
Starbucks, B&M, Popeyes, and Card Factory have already opened in the retail park, while Burger King is yet to announce an opening date.
