THOUSANDS of people flocked to Giffnock earlier this month to take part in a classic car show.
The event took place on Saturday, September 9, at Giffnock Village and was held by the town’s Business Improvement District (BID).
During the show, over 100 cars from throughout the decades were on display, while visitors travelled from far and wide to enjoy the event.
Motors on display included a 1957 Buick Riviera Special and an array of pastel Figaros.
Chair of the town’s BID, Giann Celine said: “It was a great day. This is an event which has established itself as a strong attraction and superb showcase for the wonderful range of shops, restaurants, and services that we are proud to have in Giffnock.
“Speaking to many of the local businesses, they were really busy as people enjoyed not just the sight of the cars, but so much more of what the community has to offer.
“Its success is down to an amazing all-round effort throughout the community. Our thanks go to everyone who supported it.
“The Classic Car Show is a really visible example of how the BID works hard to deliver for the businesses and community of Giffnock – attracting people to the village and boosting the economy.”
