Families have the chance to discover the “amazing world” of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) at a free event in Barrhead this weekend.
InspHire is an initiative geared towards targeting parents or guardians of children and young people from ages four to 14.
It enables them to learn about industry 4 (the fourth industrial revolation) and how this will impact their children.
The InspHire event will take place on Saturday, September 2 from 10am to 2pm at The Foundry.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Come along with your family and friends to our interactive, inspiring exhibitions with some fantastic companies in the amazing world of STEM. From robots to VR (virtual reality) and even electric cars.
“Sign up not required but advised. There is a café on site, great for a family fun day and lots for everyone to join in and some amazing prizes to be won throughout the day.
“Technology is moving at such a pace that education is now lagging behind and we want to educate and inspire families to look at the future job market and what the required skills will look like in the new era.”
