A MAN has been arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting a 27-year-old in East Renfrewshire.
Cops were made aware of the disturbance which took place on Fenwick Road in Giffnock at around 8.20pm on Sunday, August 13.
It is understood a 44-year-old man was then charged in connection with the incident.
Residents reported that the area was swarmed by cops during the altercation.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We received a report of the assault of a 27-year-old man on Fenwick Road, Giffnock, Glasgow, around 8.20pm on Sunday, August 13.
“A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
