A LOCAL politician has said he received the "warmest welcome" after visiting a weekly drop-in cafe in Giffnock.
It comes after West of Scotland MSP Paul O'Kane recently visited Jewish Care Scotland's Welcome Wednesday drop-in cafe.
The MSP attended the event in the Walton Centre to meet and chat with its members.
The group encourages members of the community to attend it to socialise with others and enjoy a bite to eat.
Paul O'Kane said: "I had the warmest welcome today and I was delighted to have come away with a great impression of what the service Jewish Care Scotland provides for the community.
“I got to speak with so many regular attendees of Welcoming Wednesday who of course had me laughing at their great stories.
“I’ll look forward to visiting Jewish Care again soon and I’ll certainly be raising my voice at every opportunity to raise awareness of their services in the future.”
