AN award-winning Barrhead pub has been highlighted for its success at the Scottish Hospitality and Food Awards.
We previously reported that the Cross Stobs Inn on Grahamston Road won Best Independent Bar in the central belt and came runner-up for the Best Sports Bar.
Highlighting the venue's success, East Renfrewshire's MP Kirsten Oswald presented the pub's owner, Jonathan Wengel, with an Early Day Motion which she tabled at Westminster.
Kirsten Oswald MP said: “It was great to visit Cross Stobs Inn to make their fantastic success at the Scottish Hospitality and Food Awards.
“The pub was very successful, being named the Best Independent Bar in the central belt and was the runner-up for the Best Sports Bar category.
“I was delighted to talk with Jonathon Wengel about the award, the team who have worked so hard to achieve this success, and the pub’s community focus.
“I can easily see why they were named winners.
“We are very fortunate to have so many brilliant businesses like Cross Stobs Inn in East Renfrewshire, and they deserve our support whenever we are able to give it.”
