Around one hundred pupils flocked to Barrhead Foundry for a Junior NBA Basketball event hosted by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's Active Schools team.
Youngsters from across the local authority have been developing their skills as part of a six-week round-robin league, offered to senior primary children.
The teams played against each other in a series of games which culminated in a final.
Pupils from St Luke's and Barrhead High School, who are volunteers with East Renfrewshire Sports Leadership Academy, refereed at the event.
Active Schools' team leader Gary McGunnigle told the Barrhead News: "We want to thank all of the pupils who came along and participated in our Junior NBA Basketball event and to our partners from Basketball Paisley for their support with the event.
"Congratulations to teams from Carolside, OLM, St Cadoc's and Hillview primary schools, who now go through to the regional final."
"Well done to teams from Netherlee, St John's, Neilston, Cross Arthurlie, Mearns and St Joseph's primary schools for their fantastic efforts on the day," he added.
"It was fantastic to see pupils coming together and putting all the skills they learned during the programme into practice on the court.
"The pupils involved were a credit to their schools and we'd like to thank all the staff for supporting their basketball stars, along with our volunteers and Active Schools Team.
"Good luck to everyone who made it through to the regional final."
The four winning teams will progress to play the Renfrewshire region's winners at the final, which will take place at the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley on May 12.
