A WOMAN repeatedly assaulted a toddler including at a prison.

Laura Morrow, 29, lashed out at the youngster between September and October 2022.

Court papers state Morrow attacked the child at HMP Low Moss in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.

Morrow seized them by the body, lifted and dragged them to the floor to their injury.

She went on to strike the same child on the head to their injury at her home in Barrhead.

Morrow pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the two assault charges.

Sheriff Patricia Pryce said: “These are serious charges - you were in a position of extreme trust with a vulnerable young person.

“The court must consider the options here.”

Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month when more information regarding the circumstances will be heard.

Morrow had her bail continued meantime.
